This Increasing Economic Opportunity for Battered Women newsletter was created as a forum for sharing ways that domestic violence programs are responding to the economic issues facing battered women, particularly those living in poverty.
The Volume 1, Number 1, November 2000 introductory issue features articles about the Family Violence Option advocacy efforts of the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence; the anti-poverty public policy Initiatives underway at the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence; and an economic literacy curriculum for adult women, designed by the Elizabeth Stone House in Boston, called Personal Economic Planning.
This newsletter is published as part of the Building Comprehensive Solutions to Domestic Violence initiative, a project of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence.
