This report presents the findings from a Domestic Violence Fatality Review Project (DVFR) that has been underway since 2005. It combines the most comprehensive data available on domestic violence fatalities in Louisiana with recommendations for improving victim safety and increasing perpetrator accountability. Community leaders are encouraged to use the report as a tool in analyzing responses to domestic violence to look for systemic gaps that hinder victim safety and perpetrator accountability.
