This report for policy makers and advocates highlights the unique characteristics of the MSM community and outlines the need for specialized services to meet the needs of the community. This report discusses some of the reasons that the HIV rate in the US continues to rise for MSM more than any other group, despite continued efforts to address the disease. Biological, social stigma, and community factors converge, leading to more rapid HIV spread in MSM communities. This report discusses tools for reducing the risk of HIV in MSM communities.
