This report explores the ways in which organizations led by women of color are elaborating reproductive justice in connection with economic justice. It begins with a history of reproductive justice, a shared and inclusive definition of reproductive justice, and the framework for an inclusive movement. It discusses some of the gaps in women’s rights that Reproductive Justice aims to close; history of sterilization and unethical medical practices using the bodies of women of color, reproductive rights for incarcerated women, and broad understandings of gender and sexuality. Finally, it highlights some of the organizations doing reproductive justice work across the US.
