This self-assessment tool serves as a way for domestic violence service providers to evaluate their organizational capacity, policies, and practices to identify areas to improve access to LGBTQ survivors.

This guide is for victim advocates working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals who may be experiencing stalking. It provides basic information about the dynamics of stalking and safety planning, co-occurring crimes, specific tactics used against LGBTQ+ individuals, safety planning strategies that support LGBTQ+ stalking victims, and issues to be aware of when supporting LGBTQ+ victims.

This webinar featured a panel of experts who explored the unique barriers that people with disabilities have to navigate when seeking healing and the strategies that advocates employ to proactively remove those barriers. Specifically, they explored the civil-legal needs of survivors with disabilities, the needs of survivors who acquire a disability through domestic violence, and the unique needs of Deaf survivors.

In the summer of 2021, South Asian SOAR (SOAR), convened listening sessions with its network of 30+ frontline organizations across 13 states. These conversations elucidated the complex, nuanced, and often overlooked, challenges and needs of South Asian survivors and communities in the US. This report shares the key findings from those listening sessions, and through it, South Asian SOAR strives to ultimately generate increased funding, improve research & data collection, and drive policy changes that accurately meet South Asian survivors’ needs.

Doulas provide invaluable support to pregnant and birthing people - but doula support is available across a wide variety of experiences, including abortion, miscarriage, and stillbirth. The people who provide this essential care are commonly called full-spectrum doulas.

Historically, the domestic violence (DV) field has separated services for adults and services for children and youth, rather than taking an integrated approach that centers the relationships between adult survivors and their children. The Family-Centered Toolkit helps programs envision and implement an integrated approach that supports parent-child relationships and families with a range of culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and developmentally sensitive services.

To build a healthier America for all, we must confront the systems and policies that have resulted in the generational injustice that has given rise to health inequities. CDC’s Health Equity Guiding Principles for Inclusive Communication emphasize the importance of addressing all people inclusively and respectfully.
