This primer provides an overview of key terms, trends, approaches, and evidence used to frame violence against women (VAW) prevention programming. It is designed to strengthen programming, advocacy, and research for evidence-based violence against women prevention in Africa.

The National Indigenous Women's Resource Center's Native Youth Handbook, produced in partnership with the Native Youth Sexual Health Network, contains definitions on domestic violence, examples of controlling violence, what to do if you are experiencing domestic violence in any form, for family and friends of people experiencing domestic violence and how Native youth can lead the change to breaking the silence around domestic violence in their communities.

NRCDV Radio sat down with Kendra Gritsch from the Domestic Violence Housing First team of the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence to discuss how Washington state is trying to meet the needs of all survivors in their programs and the evolution of housing/shelter in the state. She shares innovations, best practices, and tips with NRCDV Policy Director Marium Durrani.

In this lecture, Alegria describes the issues immigrants and refugees face as they arrive in the U.S. and seek to integrate into a new country. Recent immigrants, she says, confront structural barriers to integration. They also must deal with a series of linguistic, cultural, and psychological obstacles that may negatively impact their behavioral health.
