Although Plan B is legal as an “over the counter” (OTC) contraceptive for women age 17 years old and up, Native American women do not have consistent access to it from the Indian Health Service. Screening for TBI may identify the need for an evaluation. This handout provides background information on brain injury, assistance with identifying existing injuries, and details to provide appropriate help for victims of domestic violence who have sustained brain injuries.
