It's important that advocates understand these stress reactions and their relationship to IPV in order to provide effective information and referrals to victims whose partners have been exposed to the trauma of combat and are exhibiting violent or abusive behavior. This guide provides information that will assist advocates with these complex issues.

This toolkit is a collection of resources for communities that are considering building a SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) or those that want to improve their existing coordinated response to victims of sexual assault. Effective SARTs leverage the knowledge that each component of the multidisciplinary team brings to the response.
