The Latinx Thriving Families Campaign is designed to increase access and improve systems and responses to Latinx abused parents and their children by the integration of a comprehensive anti-oppression and social equity framework.

This brief provides a synthesis of the research connecting housing instability, economic insecurity, substance misuse, and domestic violence. It also includes a short discussion of the broad social context in which patterns of domestic violence occur and a series of recommendations for decision makers, policy developers, and organizational leaders working to prevent domestic violence in their communities.

Through this webinar participants will learn ways to enhance their community engagement efforts, learn about the importance of including storytelling in their efforts by leveraging the #1Thing messaging.

Every year the National Call of Unity kicks off Domestic Violence Awareness Month by offering an opportunity to mourn, celebrate, and connect with advocates from national, state, and community-based organizations, governmental agencies, allied movements, survivors and their family and friends.

Being surrounded by strong community, including neighbors one interacts with and cares about, can provide a buffer against experiences and consequences of intimate partner violence. In order to paint a clearer picture of workplace sexual harassment, the National Women’s Law Center analyzed sexual harassment charges filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by women in the private sector between 2012 and 2016. This analysis establishes a critical baseline for evaluating the impact, if any, of the MeToo movement on filings with the EEOC in future years.
