The To’ Kee Skuy’ Soo Ney-Wo-Chek’ project addresses the severe impact of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two spirit people (MMIWG2) and trafficking of Native people in Northern California, defined as from the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento up to the Oregon border. Over the course of this report, authors establish the scope and severity of MMIWG2 in Northern California based on our Year 1 findings, drawn from both quantitative and qualitative sources.

This study examines the problem of black homicide victimization at the state level by analyzing unpublished Supplementary Homicide Report (SHR) data for black homicide victimization submitted to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
