Sen. Patty Pansing Brooks’ bill (LB843) was amended before it was advanced to final reading to set up a process for a person who is charged with prostitution to file a motion to dismiss the charge if a victim of human trafficking.
The amendment would require a hearing on the motion, and if the motion is granted, the charge would be dismissed.
