PreventIPV Fall 2024 Newsletter: Economic Justice is Violence Prevention

Monday, November 04, 2024

"We can change the conditions so that survivors, especially Black women and gender expansive individuals, can thrive free from violence." - Pay Equity and a Thriving Wage: All individuals deserve to be valued for their labor

Economic justice is a critical piece of our work to prevent violence. As PreventConnect reminds us, "strengthening economic supports and security for women and families is an effective strategy to prevent not only sexual and intimate partner violence, but also suicide, child abuse, and neglect, and adverse childhood experiences."

This issue of the PreventIPV newsletter highlights new resources, upcoming professional development opportunities, and exciting developments in the prevention field, with a particular focus on economic justice as a violence prevention strategy.
