National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center
The National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, Inc. (NIWRC) is a Native nonprofit organization that was created specifically to serve as the National Indian Resource Center (NIRC) Addressing Domestic Violence and Safety for Indian Women. Under this grant project and in compliance with statutory requirements, the NIWRC seeks to enhance the capacity of American Indian and Alaska Native (Native) tribes, Native Hawaiians, and Tribal and Native Hawaiian organizations to respond to domestic violence.National Congress of American Indians (NCAI)
NCAI, a non-profit organization, advocates for a bright future for generations to come by taking the lead to gain consensus on a constructive and promising vision for Indian Country. The organizations policy issues and initiatives are driven by the consensus of a diverse membership, which consists of American Indian and Alaska Native tribal governments, tribal citizens, individuals and Native and non-Native organizations.Native Wellness Institute
The Native Wellness Institute works to promote the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of North America’s indigenous peoples. The goal of the Native Wellness Institute is to continue bringing about positive changes in the lifestyles, relationships, education, and overall wellness of Native Americans. As the Native Community’s leading social-services resource, their current and future objectives focus on five main areas:
- Healthy Relationships and Parenting
- Youth Leadership and Development
- Workplace Wellness / Staff Development
- Strategic Planning, Program Development and Curriculum Development
- Educational Wellness Conferences, Retreats and Training
The Tribal Law and Policy Institute
The Tribal Law and Policy Institute is a Native American owned and operated non-profit corporation organized to design and deliver education, research, training, and technical assistance programs which promote the enhancement of justice in Indian country and the health, well-being, and culture of Native peoples. The Institute is guided by a Board of Directors and an Advisory Board, and utilizes an Approach to Training and Technical Assistance which is incorporated into all their Programs and Services.
