Family Violence Prevention and Services Program (FVPSA) Content Topic Results

This Toolkit organizes information, resources, tips and tools drawn from the wealth of information gathered when the two service systems were convened through local collaborative projects funded by the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

This fact sheet covers the intersection of abuse and pregnancy, specific challenges and barriers to reporting violent incidents during disasters, what first responders need to know about pregnant survivors of abuse, and ways they can be of help.

This webinar highlighted promising practices for Tribal Child Support Agencies and Tribal DV programs for enhancing safe access to child support and provided a special focus on use of the new resources in Tribal settings.

For DVAM 2015, OCSE and FPVSA released new resources to provide a roadmap for actions child support and domestic violence programs can take to enhance safe access to child support services and provide ongoing support to collaborations between child support agencies and DV programs/coalitions. This webinar provides an introduction to using those resources and announces the launch of a new Domestic Violence and Child Support Liaisons Network supported by OCSE and FVPSA.

This webinar focused on the intersections of relationship violence and sex trafficking among runaway and homeless youth. Experts in this field of service suggested a variety of ways that individuals, organizations, and communities can provide effective support to youth experiencing violence and abuse while living in unstable housing situations.

This webinar focused on the intersection of intimate partner violence (IPV), economic abuse, and poverty. Speakers provided an overview of the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, explored the intersection between economic factors and IPV, and discussed policy implications.

This webinar explored the intersection of poverty, domestic violence, and economic security. Important considerations for domestic violence survivors, including strategies to strengthen the safety net for survivors in need, were explored. Resources were shared about financial literacy, asset building, credit repair, and economic empowerment.

This webinar provided an overview of OCSE produced domestic violence resources - including fact sheets, desk cards, and online training materials - promoting safe access to child support.
