Ethnically diverse populations of women, particularly survivors of intimate partner violence, experience many barriers to mental health care. Attention to the barriers to mental health care for ethnically diverse survivors of IPV can help inform the development of more effective strategies for health care practice and policy.

This participatory action research study by the Young Women's Empowerment Project, a social justice organizing project led by and for young people of color who have current or former experience in the sex trade and street economies, addresses the violence that girls in sex trade and street economies face, as well as their resilience and resistance methods.
