This National Prevention Town Hall uplifted innovative prevention approaches in the Northeast region of the United States that build solidarity across movements to disrupt systems of violence that disproportionately harm Black women and gender expansive individuals. Presenters engaged participants in conversations around critical issues impacting Black women, youth, and gender expansive individuals including reproductive justice and housing as a basic human need and right.  

The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence, in collaboration with partners from across the Northeast region of the United States, held our fourth virtual Prevention Town Hall on September 13 and 14, 2023.

Both survivors and advocates have shared that language access is a barrier to health and behavioral health access. This tipsheet describes how language justice can support survivor access to services and provides resources for capacity-building for domestic violence and behavioral health organizations.
